One of the characteristics that makes us stand out from our competitors is our qualifications and accreditations. We invest a huge amount of time in keeping up with the pace of change in all areas of building services, oil and gas, energy, sustainability and water.

The latest example of this is our decision to take on Revit MEP software for Building Information Modelling (BIM). This specialist software allows our mechanical and electrical engineers to make use of powerful design, evaluation and documentation functions.

It’s a fantastic piece of software because it helps improve the accuracy and consistency of designs through intelligent 3D models. This has many benefits – including speeding up the process of delivering optimum energy-efficient building system designs, while giving us the ability to present 3D visualisations and 2D documentation in an even more clear manner.

It’s important to mention that our work already meets exceptionally high design standards – but we’re always looking to use technology in any way we can improve the design process even further.

This software is being used by some of the largest companies in mechanical and electrical design and is quickly becoming a necessary tool to have within the industry.  It is  a substantial investment – and requires three months support and training.  Our team has been researching and attending seminars on the software over the last three months, with the software due to arrive in early 2014.
