After a fantastic 2014, all of the team at Parsec Consulting Engineers are delighted to announce that we have passed the necessary examinations to maintain our status as Low Carbon Energy Assessors (LCEAs).
Low Carbon Energy Assessors are fully qualified to provide Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and Display Energy Certificates (DECs). The requirement for EPCs was introduced in 2008 under new Energy Performance in Buildings Regulations for any non-domestic buildings, while the requirement for DECs was introduced in June 2008 for buildings occupied by public authorities.
These types of energy certificates can only be provided by certified energy assessors who are members of an approved scheme such as CIBSE Certification, which we of course are associated with.
It’s fantastic news for the whole company and our clients. It means we can continue to carry out tailored energy assessments (EPC, DEC and A/C) that not only identify the most cost effective solutions to improve the energy efficiency for your buildings, but also meet your operational business needs.
As a LCEA, we can also provide a thorough report which helps you to put our advice into practice. By employing a CIBSE LCEA such as ourselves, you can be sure you are getting the very best advice available from experienced engineers who are specialists in carbon and cost saving. Additional benefits of hiring a LCEA include:
- Experienced energy assessors and experienced building services engineers with a wealth of knowledge and experience for support and advice when you need it
- Experience in new build and refurbishment to obtain value for money
- Keyed with BREEAM for sustainable design and build
- Effective and streamlined service to suit your needs
- Approachable and understanding to accommodate your aspirations
